It does take a certain amount of setup, configuration, and knowledge of Windows Server, though, so you'd need to do what you're familiar with and still suits your needs. I'm basically a one-man indie dev, too, so while the Windows Server Backup solution definitely scales to enterprise-level environments, it's just as efficient for small teams or even solo devs. but I figure I'd have bigger problems if that happened. Ideally, I'd set up an off-site backup solution, so I'd still have my data in case the building burned down or something.

This would allow me to restore the entire server in the event of a failure, including the OS, all settings, all software installs, all of the P4 database, etc. Every night, Windows snaps a complete image of that server, and saves it to an external hard drive I've set up exclusively for backups. What works for me is I installed P4 on one of the servers in my local domain, synced my client stations to that instancel, and then set up a standard, nightly, Windows Server Backup plan on that server. However, Perforce is not a replacement for a proper backup solution. Perforce by itself might give you peace of mind, knowing that you can always restore from the P4 repo. It's free for up to 20 users, and you can run your own (non-cloud) instance on your own servers if you prefer. As a full-fledged version control system, it's capable of storing multiple versions of your project, that you could revert to at any time. it'd take ages to upload, and if you ever needed to move it, you'd be in for some real trouble. Putting that amount of data onto the cloud all at once just isn't feasible.
